At Over The Moon Signature Doodles, our program is built around long-term health, careful selection, and responsible breeding. This page explains our Six-Year Health Guarantee and the requirements to keep it active.
Important: This guarantee is a contract addendum and must be completed before your puppy goes home.
What This Guarantee Covers
Our Six-Year Health Guarantee covers life-threatening or life-altering congenital and/or hereditary conditions that substantially impact normal function or quality of life.
Because serious diagnoses require specialist-level evaluation, any covered condition must be:

Diagnosed by a board-certified veterinary specialist, and
-
Verified for cause by that specialist (congenital/hereditary vs. environmental/acquired)
A note from a general practice veterinarian alone is not sufficient to activate coverage.
Grain-Free Diet Policy (Non-Negotiable)
To protect your dog’s long-term health, feeding a grain-free diet at any point in your dog’s life permanently voids this guarantee.
This includes grain-free feeding as:

a primary food,
-
a rotation food,
-
a “trial” food,
-
or a short-term diet choice.
If you are unsure whether a formula is grain-free, do not feed it until you confirm the ingredients.
Hip/Elbow Dysplasia Clarification
Hip and elbow dysplasia can be influenced by environmental factors (growth rate, weight, conditioning, and activity). Because of this:

Dysplasia is only eligible for coverage if a board-certified specialist verifies it is congenital/hereditary, not environmental.

If a specialist determines the dysplasia is primarily environmental/acquired, it is not covered under this guarantee.
Remedy: Replacement Puppy Only
If a claim is approved under this guarantee, the remedy is:
A replacement puppy from the next available litter of equal value and comparable size/type, as determined by Over The Moon Signature Doodles.
This guarantee provides:

No refunds

No cash payments
-
Buyer is responsible for any transportation/shipping costs for the replacement puppy.
How Claims Work
If you believe your dog may have a covered condition:

Notify us in writing within 10 calendar days of learning of the suspected condition.

Schedule evaluation with a board-certified specialist appropriate for the condition.

Provide:
-
Specialist report confirming diagnosis and cause
-
Medical records related to the condition
-
Supporting diagnostics (imaging/labs as applicable)
-
Diet history showing the dog has never been fed grain-free
-
We may request additional documentation if needed to make a fair determination.
Signing Requirement (Before Go-Home)
This guarantee is only active if:

It is completed and signed before your puppy goes home, and
-
All acknowledgement boxes are checked within the signing form.
